The Suunto D6i Novo Zulu is the latest in their D Series dive computers and as well as all the features that are included with the other D6i Novo models the Zulu has a new extremely durable textile strap and body coloured steel shoulders that gives the dive computer a whole new look.
The D6i Novo Zulu is a compact, watch size dive computer that is packed with a huge number of features. The housing is made from steel and topped with tough sapphire crystal glass that has been given an anti-reflective coating to prevent glare. It is a full decompression computer running Suunto's RGBM algorithm and the easy to read partial dot matrix display allows all the important information to be shown clearly.
The computer provides five modes; air, nitrox, gauge, free diving and off which is actually more useful than it sounds if you just want to jump in and have a cool off between dives with the computer automatically activating. The scuba diving modes are further supported by gas switching between three individual gases for advanced diving and accelerated decompression and the optional wireless air integration allowing current cylinder pressure and remaining air time to be display on the screen.
Other useful functions include an electronically integrated tilt compensation 3D compass with bearing markers, built in dive planner, on screen dive log and profile viewer as well as update-able firmware and dive data download via the included PC/Mac USB cable.
