Mares are one of the only regulator manufacturers to have a regulator approved for "extreme cold water diving" by the US Navy. The Mares Abyss Navy utilizes the MR 22 first stage found in several of our packages along side the indestructible Mares Dragon BCD made with Cordura 420. These Mares packages are designed for all conditions and can live up to even the most demanding divers demands.

Mares also exclusively manufacturer the light weight but still high performing Carbon Regulator and Hybrid BCD with a fold able back plate that when combined into a Mares Dive Equipment package allow divers to combine high performance and comfort with weight and space saving technology
