Ocean Reef Neptune III Full Face Mask

Regular price £924.99
Tax included

The Ocean Reef Space Extender Neptune III is a full face diving mask with an integrated, body-balanced second stage regulator. Your mask and reg become one unit, so you breathe naturally through your nose and mouth with no mouthpiece to grip. It's Ocean Reef's most advanced full face mask yet, built for divers who want a wide, fog-free view, zero jaw fatigue and the option to talk to their buddy underwater.

Please note: diving a full face mask is different from diving a standard mask and regulator. Equalising, air-sharing and bail-out procedures all change, so we strongly recommend completing a full face mask speciality course before diving the Neptune III. Only the second stage is included. You'll need your own first stage, and underwater communication units are sold separately.

Features:
  • Natural, effortless breathing — breathe through your nose and mouth just as you would on land, for a more relaxed, intuitive dive.
  • No mouthpiece, no jaw fatigue — nothing to clamp down on, so long dives stay comfortable from start to finish.
  • Integrated body-balanced second stage — the vertical Neptune III regulator delivers smooth breathing at depth and is CE certified for cold water use below 10°C.
  • Anti-fog air circulation — the patented airflow system and silicone oral-nasal pocket with two one-way valves keep the visor clear and help reduce CO₂ build-up.
  • Extra-wide field of vision — a large polycarbonate visor gives a wide field of view, certified by Italcert (PPE-05 Rif 1332/05).
  • Tough, scratch-resistant visor — both sides are coated in siloxane resin for scratch and chemical resistance, and the visor is impact tested to STANAG 4296 (a steel ball at 540 km/h).
  • 3D equalisation system — a patented internal device seals your nostrils for hands-free equalising. It adjusts three ways (up/down, wide/narrow, close/far) to suit your face.
  • Dive/pre-dive lever — a Venturi control that helps prevent free-flows at the surface or in current.
  • Purge button — releases a strong burst of air to clear any water that gets into the mask.
  • Surface air valve — lets you breathe ambient air at the surface without using your tank supply.
  • Double "S" bellows face seal — a patented spring-profile skirt that "floats" on your face for a comfortable, secure seal.
  • Six-strap head harness — holds the mask and reg firmly in place. It's designed so the second stage stays put even if you're knocked or lose consciousness.
  • Fast-rotating buckle system — quick donning and doffing at the surface, with secure, fast operation when bailing out underwater.
  • Comms ready — compatible with Ocean Reef underwater communication systems for buddy-to-buddy or diver-to-surface talk (sold separately).
  • Extender Kit included — an add-on frame that adds protection and mounting points for cameras, lights and comms.
  • Purpose-built backpack — a dedicated mask compartment for quick access, plus a large lower compartment with draining mesh for your first stage, hoses and octopus.

FAQs:

You can't pinch your nose through the visor. Instead, the Neptune III's 3D equalisation system uses internal nose plugs that seal your nostrils when the mask is pushed towards your face. You then equalise with a Valsalva-style breath. The plugs adjust up/down, wide/narrow and close/far, so take time to set them up before your first dive. If you normally equalise by pinching and blowing, practise in the pool first.

Measure from the bridge at the top of your nose to the bottom of your chin. If you measure 10–11.5 cm, choose S/M, which generally suits smaller faces and divers aged 12 and over. If you measure more than 11.5 cm, choose M/L. If you're right on the line, try both on if you can. When the mask is snug on your face, there should be no gap between your chin and the silicone skirt. Not sure? Book a video consultation and we'll help you measure.

We strongly recommend it. Donning, equalising, clearing, air-sharing and bail-out all work differently with a full face mask. A full face mask speciality course covers these skills properly, including what to do if you need to switch back to a standard mask and regulator underwater.

Your integrated second stage isn't something you can hand to a buddy, so your alternate air source setup needs some thought. Many full face mask divers also carry a spare standard mask in case they need to bail out. Talk this through with your instructor. We're also happy to help you plan your configuration.

No. The Neptune III comes with the integrated second stage, hose, backpack, extender kit, doffing handle, surface air valve and multitool. You'll need your own first stage. Ocean Reef underwater communication units are available separately.

Yes. The Neptune III regulator is CE certified for cold water use below 10°C. It's also a great fit for cold water because the full face design keeps more of your face out of the water.
