Agulhas is a company that takes inspiration from the beautiful and free ocean world at Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa. The spot where the cold South Atlantic and the warm Indian Ocean meet creates diverse marine life. The Agulhas Current, a warm 'ocean river' that flows down the eastern flank of South Africa from Mozambique, has intrigued seafarers for centuries. Early Portuguese explorers named this place Agulhas because they noticed that the compass needle defied the distinction between true and magnetic north. This name could also have come from the needle-like boulders scattered around this area.

Regardless of how the name came to be, Agulhas represent a wild and free ocean lifestyle, which is reflected in their freediving range of masks and snorkels. These products are just the beginning, and we can look forward to more freediving products from Agulhas.
