As 2025 draws to a close, I find myself thinking about what really makes this year special. Time and again, it comes back to the same place: the ocean and the incredible people who feel most at home in it.
Mike’s Dive Store has always been about that feeling. The quiet pause before a descent. The first breath through a regulator. Those moments underwater that clear your mind, recharge your spirit, and stay with you long after you surface.
This year, our community has shone brighter than ever.
Thanks to you, our customers, we raised £20,827 for Sea-Changers 🌊💙, funding vital marine conservation projects across the UK. Each donation was a small choice but a meaningful one, made by people who care about the oceans we love. That generosity says everything about this community.
And the stories are remarkable.
The nervous excitement of first-time divers taking their open water breaths. Trips planned, postponed, and finally made real. Moments that become lifelong memories, including a couple who returned from our summer dive story competition engaged after an underwater proposal. These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. Diving is not just about equipment or destinations; it is about connection, perspective, and shared experience.
Mike’s Dive Store is more than a shop. It is a community shaped by people who care about doing things properly: caring for their kit, respecting the ocean, and understanding that the right equipment matters when it counts. Whether you are diving for the first time or refining your setup after hundreds of dives, you make this place what it is.
Behind it all is a legacy worth celebrating.
Mike Calder founded Mike’s Dive Store to open the underwater world to everyone. Although he sadly passed in 2009, his passion for adventure, curiosity, and supporting divers lives on in everything we do. Every diver we help gear up and every journey that begins with us carries that legacy forward.
Looking ahead, our focus remains clear. We will continue to improve, evolve, and be a place you can trust. This means expanding our range, refining our online experience, and delivering top-notch customer service while supporting your adventures wherever they may take you.
