Being lost at sea is no joke – and visibility is everything when it comes to search and rescue. The Pandora Lab K1 Rescue Dive Torch has been designed with this in mind, combining a powerful dive light with a clever built-in emergency dye signal. In an emergency, divers can simply unscrew the cap to release a harmless powder into the water, creating a vivid surface marker that can be seen from boats, helicopters and even planes.
Recently, Poole Diving carried out a successful test release on behalf of the RNLI, proving just how effective the K1’s dye signal really is. The demonstration highlighted how quickly and clearly the bright plume stood out against the sea – a potential lifesaver in critical situations.
