The Cressi DaVinci Dive Computer Has Landed: Dive in Full Colour

There's a moment on every dive when you glance at your wrist for a reassuring update — depth, no-deco time, ascent rate — and the clarity of that glance can make or break how relaxed you feel underwater. The new Cressi DaVinci dive computer was built entirely around that moment. With a full-colour screen, a built-in compass, and Bluetooth syncing to your phone, it's a next-generation unit designed for recreational divers who want serious capability without a confusing interface.

The DaVinci is Cressi's answer to divers who want more information, presented more clearly, without needing a technical diving background to make sense of it. The headline feature is the full-colour TFT LCD screen, with large, bright numbers that stay legible whether you're diving in gin-clear tropical water or murkier, low-light conditions. Multicoloured digits mean your eye is drawn straight to the number that matters — no squinting, no second-guessing.

A dive computer screen is only useful if you can actually read it mid-dive, and this is where the DaVinci earns its name. There's plenty of room on the display for all of your key stats at once — depth, no-deco time, dive time, gas, and MOD — laid out so you can process it in a glance rather than hunting through menus.

Alongside the display sits a genuinely useful built-in compass, complete with headings and reverse headings. You can bring the compass onto your main screen so you can check your bearing while still monitoring your dive stats, rather than switching between modes. Set a reference heading at the start of the dive and a reverse heading will guide you straight back — ideal for finding the boat, the exit point, or your buddy at the end of the dive.

The DaVinci runs across 3 operating modes — Air, Nitrox, and Gauge — and lets you set up to 4 gas mixes in advance, each one individually configured as Air, Nitrox (22–99%), or 100% O2, with in-dive gas switching between them. That's a genuinely flexible setup for divers who want to plan multi-gas dives without needing a technical computer to do it. Decompression calculations are handled by the new Cressi Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm, which allows for adjustment of conservatism based on your dive plan and experience.

Beyond the algorithm itself, the DaVinci gives you audible alarms that flag ascent speed violations, decompression obligations, and PPO2 level issues before they become a problem. You can also set your own deep stops and safety stops, giving you real control over how your ascent profile is managed rather than relying on a single fixed setting. An adjustable PPO2 range of 1.0 to 1.6 means the computer can be tuned to match your dive plan rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.

Data transfers over Bluetooth to the DiveSync app, where your full dive history is logged automatically. Once synced, you can review:

1. Individual dive profiles, including depth, time, and temperature
2. Summary stats — total dives, total dive time, average depth, and maximum depth
3. Device settings, including alarms, sampling rate, water type, and gas configuration

The app also lets you manage the language pack on the DaVinci itself, with an OTA firmware update bringing Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Simplified Chinese language support, scheduled for Q3 2026.
