The author Rev. John Fleming was the Presbyterian chaplain on board the Britannic at the time, and his narrative is still the only contemporary account of the demise of the White Star liner to be published by a survivor.
This book is a moving testimony to the courage and fortitude of those involved and a unique viewpoint of the disaster, employing over forty specially selected illustrations to accompany the original text written in 1917, a concise biography of the author and detailed historical notes.
