The Light and Motion Sola Photo 1200 uses the same factory sealed housing as the rest of the Sola range so offers a compact and lightweight solution with a combination LED head that provides either a 600 lumen red light or a 1200 lumen white white, both distributed over a 60 degree angle.
The red light option allows a photographer to approach their subject, setup and focus with much less chance of disturbing it because many underwater creatures are unable to see red light.
As with the of Sola models the Photo 1200 uses a magnetic slider switch to operate the various modes and output levels. Both colour modes have a high, medium and low setting. The slider uses push and release or push and hold movements to power on / off, adjust output levels or switch colour modes as well as featuring a simple rotating locking mechanism.
The housing features a coloured LED battery status for quick reference glances, a external charging port on the end of the housing and a fixing point on the underside for various mounting options (not included) such as 1" photo ball, 1/2" Locline or YS mount.
