Share Your Red Sea Adventures: Camel Dive Club’s Underwater Story Contest

Camel Dive Club Giveaway

Kasia Neugebauer |

If you’ve been around Mike’s Dive Store for a while, you’ll know we’ve had a soft spot for Camel Dive Club in Sharm El Sheikh for years. We’ve worked together, dived together, and sent plenty of our customers their way — and for good reason. Camel has always been about proper diving, good people, and stories that don’t end when you climb back onto the boat.

If you’re ever planning a trip, you can also check out special offers for Mike’s Dive Store customers here.

So when Camel launched a creative giveaway that’s all about underwater storytelling rather than flashy content, we knew it was one worth sharing.

Underwater Stories from the Red Sea — What’s It All About?

Camel Dive Club has just announced Underwater Stories from the Red Sea, a creative contest inviting divers, photographers and ocean lovers to share meaningful moments from beneath the surface.

This isn’t about ticking boxes or submitting random clips you found on a hard drive. Camel is looking for real stories — moments that capture the atmosphere, emotion and character of the Red Sea. The kind of dives that stay with you long after you’ve logged them.

And the nice part? Your photos or video don’t have to be shot in Sharm. Anything filmed or photographed anywhere in the Red Sea counts, as long as it tells a story and has a sense of place.

Who It’s For

You don’t need to be a full-time underwater photographer or filmmaker to enter. The contest is open to all experience levels, from seasoned creatives to divers who simply love capturing what they see underwater.

If you’ve ever come back from a dive thinking, “That meant something”, this is exactly the kind of content Camel wants to see.

Connection, curiosity, atmosphere — that’s what matters here, not just perfect exposure or textbook composition.

How to Enter

There are two ways to take part.

You can submit up to three underwater photographs, or one short underwater video, with a maximum length of 90 seconds. Portrait or landscape is fine for video — it’s the story that counts.

Everything must be shot in the Red Sea, and entries are judged on storytelling, originality, and how well they capture the spirit of the place.

Full submission details are available via Camel’s official landing page or Google Form.

The Prize

Camel will select two winners — one for photography and one for video — and the prize is something pretty special.

Each winner receives a diving holiday for two at Camel Dive Club, including a full week’s stay at their boutique hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and five days of diving on a private boat.

Even better, the prize trip takes place during Camel Dive Club’s 40th Anniversary Week, from 5–12 December 2026 — a proper celebration bringing together divers, creatives, and long-time friends of Camel.

Flights aren’t included, but honestly, the rest more than makes up for it.

Camel Dive Club

A Proper Jury of Storytellers

Entries will be judged by a seriously strong panel of underwater photographers and visual storytellers, including Alex Mustard, Alexander Kassler, Pietro Formis, Frederico Serra and Vasco Pinhol.

They’ll be looking beyond surface-level visuals and focusing on how well each entry communicates the mood, emotion and identity of the Red Sea.

Important Dates & Links to Keep in Mind

You’ve got time to think this through — or to finally organise that Red Sea trip you’ve been talking about.

The submission deadline is 1 February 2026, and winners will be announced on 2 April 2026.

About Camel Dive Club and Why We’re Sharing This

Founded back in 1986, Camel Dive Club is one of those rare places that has managed to grow without losing its soul. Based in Sharm El Sheikh, Camel is a boutique dive centre and hotel that’s spent nearly four decades building a genuine community around quality diving, authenticity, and a relaxed, non-resorty atmosphere.

It’s never just been about ticking off dive sites or rushing through schedules. Camel is the kind of place where dives turn into conversations, and conversations turn into friendships. More than a dive centre, it’s a hub where stories begin underwater — and carry on long after the kit’s been rinsed and the logbooks filled.

At Mike’s Dive Store, we’re always happy to share things that feel genuinely aligned with how we see diving. Camel Dive Club has been doing things their own way since 1986, building a community around quality diving, authenticity, and a relaxed, non-resorty atmosphere.

This giveaway feels like a natural extension of that — celebrating diving not just as an activity, but as a collection of stories worth telling.

So if you’ve got Red Sea footage you love, or you’re planning to make some soon, this might just be the best excuse to finally do something with it.

Good luck — and happy storytelling 💙🌊
