Whats new: June 2016

June 10, 2016

Summer is finally here and with the water warming up we have a whole stack of new products! From the latest dive computers to lighting packages for GoPros and excellent thermal protection from Sharkskin

Suunto Vyper Novo

Suunto have just released a new update for their much loved Vyper Air computer the Suunto Vyper Novo. With a sleek new look and new colours the Vyper Novo is sure to be as much of a hit as its predecessor. We have a very limited number of the old Suunto Vyper Air left in stock at a bargain price! Be quick though they won't hang around.

Aqualung Dive Computers

Earlier this week we received the first of Aqualungs brand new range of dive computers, the Aqualung i300 and Aqualung i450t.

The i300 is a great entry level computer featuring 4 modes; Air, Nitrox, Gague and Freedive. The Freedive mode tracks calculations allowing the user to switch between Freedive and Air/Nitrox in the same day. A user changable battery and a bright backlight make this a robust all rounder that can cater for any recreational diving need.

The i450 is a sporty looking wrist watch style computer. Featuring the same 4 modes as the i300 it also has a digital compass and optional Air Integration with an Aqualung Transmitter. The Air Intergration allows the i450 to use Aqualungs patented Gas Time Remaining Algorithm allowing accurate gas management in real time. The i450t is compatible with up to 3 different transmitters and gas mixes on a single dive. The i450t is a versatile option that can keep up with even the most demanding divers needs.

Just in is the popular Australian brand of thermal protection Sharkskin. These extremely versatile garments can be worn underneath a wetsuit for added protection from the cold whilst in the water and a quick drying  windproof fleece layer against the skin out of the water. Sharkskin can also be worn in more tropical conditions by itself as it provides equivalent to 3mm of neoprene. Sharkskin also has the added advantage of being neutrally buoyant so no need to add any extra weight as you would have to with a 3mm neoprene vest.

Sharkskin also have a range of covert garments. This range has all the thermal benefits of regular sharkskin but the fabric has HECS conductive carbon fibers woven into it that disperse and mask the natural electromagnetic field of the wearer. This allows a completely new marine interaction and is a real bonuns for photographers and videographers.
