Poseidon Jetstream Regulator

'A TRUE WORK HORSE, NO MATTER WHAT'
Strengths:	The small first stage, I have the DIN version, keeps a low profile and prevents snagging, especially when entering wrecks or when on deck on a boat. I dived it to 45m at one point in dull conditions; murk, current at temperature of four degrees celsius. No matter which way I turned, not a drop of water entered the second stage, an overall easy breathe depite the depth and the amount of finning that needed to be done to plough through the current from A to B. A great advantage from a safety point of view is that this regulator has no up or down side, no matter which way you twist it around its axis. This makes it the ideal candidate for buddy breathing, should you ever need to do it and makes it easy when it comes to configuring your kit.
Weaknesses:	The only negative thing I can comment is, that the purdge button could be slightly larger,as it can be difficult to press it with cold fingers and thick gloves at the same time. The mouthpiece is larger than that of competitors, female divers may find this uncomfortable, but after a while you get used to it and it becomes reassuring to know that you know where your regulator is - in your mouth!
Overall:	Certainly from a design perspective it's not the most visually appealing of regulators on the market to date. It's pragmatic, that's how it looks and that's what it is: a true work horse a diver can rely on, no matter how deep or shallow, cold or warm the dive might be. The price is fine and knowing that your life depends on a superb piece of engineering should make the dive a more pleasant one.
