The Suunto D6 dive computer is an advanced wristop dive computer designed for demanding divers.

The Suunto D6 dive computer has three operating modes, gas-switching functionality, integrated digital compass, and the Suunto RGBM deep stop algorithm all of which combine to make the D6 one of the most feature-rich and versatile dive computers available.

With the D6 all the information you need relating to depth, time, direction, and decompression status is now available on one clear wristop display.

  'LOOKS GOOD, BUT MORE IMPORTANT IT WORKS WELL'
Strengths: Easy to set up and use, good instructions, keeps you honest, nice post dive info from memory
Weaknesses: With receding eyesight can be a bit small to read, but all the most important functions are fine Dive log software should be included for price
Overall: This computer is really well featured, will do Deco and no-deco dive calculations and tells you what your recommended ascent time is for deco dives. The alarms are clear, though is doesn't tell you what you did wrong (WHY did it alarm then) you can work it put pretty much (OK one was a dive time alarm, one was a short period of over-speed ascent, very short fortunately and not much over speed) It gives you a very clear safety stop count down and a reasonable latitude on SS depth. The alarm clears after appropriate surface time. Since you can download the Dive manager software for free (or similar for mac, but not from Suunto) the cable comes out at £50, which is outrageous, but the simulation and review quality on the software makes this a good thing to have, see what you really did and review the practise at leisure
