The Scubapro Definition Shorty uses enhanced panel designs and an improved, more environmentally friendly neoprene to provide a comfortable and warmer 2.5mm thick shorty that is warmer than similar suits.
The suit uses X-Foam neoprene which is derived from a limestone formula blend that is petroleum free, complies with PAH tests (see below), produces a lighter neoprene with greater elasticity and a higher insulation efficiency which makes it warmer.
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a group of over 100 different chemicals that are formed during the incomplete burning of coal, oil and gas, garbage, or other organic compounds. PAHs are known for their carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic properties.
The suit uses enhanced body panel cuts to offer a more comfortable fit, better flexibility and freedom of movement. It is fitted with a back zip, the arm and legs are rolled to protect the neoprene and the neck is lined with smooth glideskin for a better seal. The inside of the suit is lined with a titanium plush for further heat retention.
