The PADI Wreck Diver Course The lure of exploring sunken vessels is something most divers cannot resist. Sunken wrecks have a mystique all of their own engendering a sense of history as well as being a haven for many marine creatures. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course introduces you to wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun wreck diving. The UK has a wealth of fantastic wrecks from shallow to deep and are waiting for you to explore them with this rewarding and challenging certification. You will receive a manual and video which you study at your own leisure before the course. You then need to complete four open water dives on a wreck putting into practice all what you have learned from identifying safe entries and exits before the final penetration dive. This is done over two days at Portland in Dorset (weather permitting) or Stoney Cove. * Not included are accommodation- transport to the dive site and entry or boat fees which are payable locally. For all courses subsequent to entry level you must provide your own basic equipment of mask- fins- snorkel- wet suit boots and gloves if required. For the Wreck Speciality course you will also need to provide an underwater timing device.
