childrensThe AquaDisc is an underwater disc that brings new fun to diving and swimming activities. It glides through the water just like a fish and is ideal for playing in the sea, lake or pool.
It works like a Frisbee disc, but is hydrodynamically optimised for underwater use. With just a gentle push the disc glides elegantly through the water. The development of AquaDisc dates back to the early 1980s, when Wink Thome was a student involved in a marine research project and used a bowling ball to play with a dolphin.
Fascinated by the special behaviour of objects underwater, he developed the AquaDisc a few years later. The blue part of the AquaDisc is made of hollow, rigid plastic, the yellow edge of a soft, special rubber material. The AquaDisc has a diameter of about 30 cm, weighs about 390 grams and has light downforce in fresh water.
