Oceanic Eos Regulator - Specifications

With the Oceanic Eos every breath is a dream come true. For over 30 years, Oceanic's R&D group has taken advantage of new materials, development of rapid prototyping, advanced computer aided design systems, objective testing, and lots of open water dives in an effort to develop a regulator with the lowest measurable inhalation effort in order to provide air to a diver at the extremes of human capacity.

When engineering brought the near complete EOS in for conformational testing the results were so astounding, the laboratory stopped testing and performed a complete calibration of all instruments, and in re-testing the EOS was found to have a near effortless inhalation resistive effort on test after test. Perfect.

Comprised of precision-machined components and extensive research and design, the EOS regulator has achieved an incredible feat…lifelike breathing. Oceanic’s gifted team of design engineers has included effortless breathing, inhalation effort adjustments, and comfortable second stage swivels and orthodontic mouthpieces into a regulator that you can hold in the palm of your hand. This is far more than just another regulator in the eyes of the Oceanic team, this is a dream come true.

The Forged from marine-grade brass, the FDX-10 features optimized air paths and angled hose ports for superior performance and comfort. A sealed Balanced Diaphragm design, Enviro Kit and patented DVT (Dry Valve Technology) isolate all internal components from the environment. 2 high pressure and 4 low pressure ports allow convenient and comfortable hose routing.

The FDX-10 high performance over-balanced first stage provides progressively greater intermediate pressure as depth and gas density increases. The center “pads” that the diaphragms act against are different sizes so the working area of the outer environmental diaphragm is larger than the working area of the inner diaphragm. As depth increases, more pressure is applied to the larger surface area of the outer diaphragm than would be applied to the internal diaphragm. The result is superior gas delivery under the most extreme conditions.

Oceanic introduces the perfect combination of magnetic attraction and accessibility with the highly-anticipated Octo Swiv with Magnetic Keeper. This innovative octo exhibits improved convenience through an extraordinarily easy-to-attach magnetic keeper.

No more pinch clips. No more Velcro. No more fumbling. An innovative inline swivel allows for adaptability and flexibility in situations that require immediate accessibility and safety. This low profile octo has no downside, literally. The Octo Swiv with Magnetic Keeper can be used in ANY position you desire restoring a level of safety to any out-of-air situation.

SWIV Console
Introducing the new standard in modular instrument systems. The all-new SWIV Console provides complete flexibility over how your instruments are configued. An allen key and a twist of the wrist allows you to position your gauges to meet your diving style. The SWIV Navcon is a three gauge console, including compass. A compass may easily be added to the Combo version

Air Filled Gauges
Expandable Shallow depth calibration, designed for sport diving
Large, luminous, quick-read display
MaxDepth needle indicates deepest dive point

The heart of the MaxDepth Console is the 60 meter MaxDepth Gauge. It’s air-filled diaphragm design allows an expanded shallow scale for better readability at sport diving depths while still topping out at a hefty 60 meter maximum depth. A large, luminous display face enhances the readability of the MaxDepth gauge that absorbs light seven times faster and brighter than other glow-in-the-dark materials. Like sports car steering, the rack and pinion movement ensures smooth and precise operation year after year. Like the name implies, the MaxDepth gauge allows reference of the maximum depth after the dive by using a MaxDepth needle that can be easily reset.
