  'ONE OF THE BEST BCD'S IN THE WORLD?'
Strengths: Easy to use, great fit for broader frames, big pockets that are easy to access, plenty of rings to hang clips and things on!
Weaknesses: Heavier than I expected. Expensive, but you can find it reasonably priced if you shop about.
Overall: I bought this BCD as a replacement for another well known BCD. Primarily because I liked the idea of the Airtrim system and the manual inflator on my previous BCD sent me hurtling to the surface a few times - luckily before I got too deep - it was easy to get mixed up between inflate and deflate! No such issues with the Mares Vector 1000 Airtrim MRS PLUS. Press the inflator button with your thumb and you inflate, press the deflate button with your trigger finger and down it goes. Its very simple to add little bits of air so that you control your buoyancy perfectly. I have now dived in the Maldives, South Africa with Sharks (all negative entry dives), various UK inland sites and recently UK sea dives at Eyemouth and St Abbs. This BCD has been reliable and has to be my favourite scuba purchase. Highly Recommended. I would quite happily give this BCD a near perfect score. If it was a tad lighter then it would score top marks.
