The Fourth Element Proteus Short John is the perfect undersuit for the diver that wants a bit more than a rash vest to keep them warm. The Short John is 5mm and covers the core part of the diver avoiding any restriction on the arms and lower legs. There is no zip so there is no chance of discomfort under your main dive wetsuit.

Using 5/4mm thermoflex neoprene with a super smooth outer lining, the short john is designed to be worn underneath the 5mm or 7mm Proteus to provide enhanced body core protection. With no zips, the short john is both comfortable and practical, often actually making it easier to don the full suit on top, thanks to the low friction exterior.

Once both layers are on, the Hydrolock neck and glideskin wrist seals keep water ingress to a minimum, maximising the protection offered by the short john/fullsuit combination.

With advanced technical features including the unique Hydrolock neck seal system, Hydrolock seams, Thermoflex construction and Glideskin wrist and ankle seals, the PROTEUS line offers thermal protection beyond that of normal wetsuits.

The Short John added to a Fourth Element Proteus 5mm or 7mm full wetsuit is ideal for diving in temperate water conditions.
