Atomic Sub Frame Dive Mask

Atomic Sub Frame Dive Mask

Options:
The Atomic Sub-Frame dive mask comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame of this mask - which speaks for itself in terms of quality really.

The strength of the Atomic Sub-Frame is the result of an internal frame (we call the subframe) molded directly beneath the surface of the silicone rubber skirt (Pat. Pend). This subframe provides incredible strength and rigidity as well as eliminating the bulky external plastic frame in other masks.

A stainless steel lens retainer locks the lenses in place and provides added strength to the nose bridge area of the mask. A wide field of view and great fit completes the combination of function, style and durability. Comes with mask box.

Can also be fitted with prescription lenses on request but usually takes around 6 weeks as it has to be done in-house in America.

Atomic Sub Frame Dive Mask
Author: Pat Holliday
  'I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW'
Strengths: Atomic do for masks what they've already done for regulators. Comfortably sleek, visually sexy, and as tough as a Russian winter.
Weaknesses: The attention to detail that has gone into the Sub-Frame comes at a premium. Some might argue the low volume is liable to make you claustrophic at depth, in which case go for the clear plastic version.
Overall: The Sub-Frame was THE stand-out mask for me in a dive shop dizzyingly overloaded with mask choices. Personally I found the fit extremely comfortable, and the glass - corrective lenses are available - comes with an "UltraClear" finish. 30+ dives later and the mask has been a pleasure to use. Even at 40 metres there is no squeeze to speak of, just good all-round vision. This mask is the one piece of kit in my arsenal I'm considering buying another of, purely in case Atomic decided to stop making it for some reason. Sure, it's a bit pricey - but in the scheme of things, is £20-30 extra unreasonable for something so fundamental? Try it and decide for yourself, but I know where my money is.

Mr Paul Bowen. p.s. I took delivery from yourselves yesterday of a Pinnacle Arctic ME 7 wet suit. Having trawled the internet for what seemed like an eternity, and after being let down by so many others, you are the only people who could genuinely supply and deliver the goods. The suit arrived in perfect condition and on time. Thank you, the service was excellent. !

Thanks for all your trouble!!! Next stop Thailand!! I am sure I will be in contact with you guys again…. Your gear is a lot better priced than in South Africa – even at R16.00 to the pound!! Regards, Steve Wilson !
